Going Green from Top to Bottom - Landscaped Roofs

This stunning piece of architecture is Nanyang Technological University’s School of Art campus located in a wooded valley in Singapore.

Designed by Singaporean architects CPG Consultants Pte Ltd, the award-winning 5-storey building is surrounded by a turfed green roof that blends with the grassy ground contour it emerges from, giving it a strong visual impact.

It’s design is not only about looks but function; the building’s turfed roofscape helps lower the temperature of the roof and surrounding areas. It also works quite well as a scenic green outdoor communal space that is accessible from sidesteps along the roof edge.
